Q: What is Hang On?
A: Hang On is a financial management app that tracks your income progress (today, this month, this year) and helps you evaluate purchases by showing how many work hours and what percentage of your savings they cost. It also provides widgets for quick insights right on your home screen.

Q: Does the app store my financial data online?
A: No. All data is stored locally on your device and securely shared only between the app and its widgets via App Groups. Nothing is uploaded to external servers.

Q: What purchase types does the app support?
A: Purchases are categorized into Impulsive Buy, Special Event, Essential, Education, Investment, and Other—each with its own thresholds for smarter recommendations.

Q: Can I change my work start time?
A: Yes. You can set your work day start time between 5 AM and 11 AM in the settings.

Q: What currencies are supported?
A: Hang On supports 10 currencies, including USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, AUD, Yen (¥), CHF, Krone, RUB, and ILS.

Q: Can I use widgets with Hang On?
A: Yes. The app includes small and medium widgets that update every 10 minutes and show progress for Today, Month, or Year.

Q: How does the purchase recommendation work?
A: The app calculates the work hours required and percentage of savings used. Based on thresholds, you’ll see:

Issue: Widgets are not updating.

• Ensure you’ve added the widget to your home screen.

• Check that the app has run recently (widgets need fresh data).

• Ensure your work schedule start time is set correctly.

Issue: The app crashes or freezes.

• Restart the app or your device.
